Sho-Pai Tribes Embark on a Historic Venture
The Shoshone-Paiute Tribes, the only Native American tribe in Idaho without a gaming operation, are now on the verge of realizing their long-held ambition. Positioned on the verdant plains situated midway between Boise and Mountain Home, the tribes have recently taken a significant step towards the establishment of their inaugural resort and casino.
A Sacred Beginning
Last Thursday, a ceremonial event took place on the designated land, which lies on the boundary between Ada and another county. This ceremony was not just a formal beginning but a spiritual blessing of the ground that will soon witness the construction of a landmark project for the Sho-Pai community.
With this move, the Shoshone-Paiute Tribes are not only looking to enhance their economic footprint but also aim to create a gathering place that resonates with their cultural and social ethos.
